WHY DO WRITERS LOVE AN AMAZON REVIEW PART 2

May 11, 2017

I am most grateful to Kelly Erickson for her idiots guide to writing a book review.

Apparently, many readers find writing a review difficult, so over to you Kelly.

As she says and I quote. 'For those who worry about what to write, it is super simple.'

Fill in the blanks:I ( loved, liked, read, disliked, hated) this book.

The story is ( exciting, fun, intriguing, awful, lacking any plot, beautifully written,...)

The characters are ( wonderful, very real, thrilling, trite, …)

I really liked (the snarky friend, how funny it is, the beautiful love story, the sexy scenes,...)

That's it.

Post.

I guess it's a little tongue in cheek, but hey ho, whatever works, as the object of the exercise is to encourage readers to post an honest comment.

Alternatively you could look at a review this way.

Think about the parts of the plot that you like best and the parts that you like the least.

Make a few notes.

Continue in the same way with the characters, the description and the action.

Rate the book from 1 to 5 stars and write a few words of how you feel.

Post.

The reader will enjoy comparing their views with others and the author will take note for the future.

Simples.
