TUESDAY TALES ARE BACK
TUESDAY TALES ARE BACK Hello everyone. It's great for me to once again send poems and short stories to your inbox. Now on a fortnightly basis, I'm sure there will be something from everyone.
Please take a few minutes to leave a comment in the box at the bottom of the page as it's great to read about what you like, and maybe, what you don't.
A lady in my writing group is feeling poorly so I thought this Drabble might cheer her up, and if you're feeling a little blue at this moment, it's for you as well.
The Long Wait
The Long Wait by Rick Haynes Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a lovely lady. She didn’t feel very well because no one spoke to her. The fairest of all, the kindest of all, the gentlest of all, she was, alas, the saddest of them all. And then she heard a voice. “Hello lady.” “What me, do you mean me?” “You are late.” “What?” “You’ve been in Limbo.” “Where’s that?” “Don’t you know? “No, but don’t go away, I don’t have any friends.” “Don’t worry, everyone will love you soon.” “They will?” “Listen to me Rose, it’s time to blossom.”
POETRY TIME
The lovely Cindy Smith has kindly sent me some of her wonderful poems for your enjoyment. And here is the first.
PICNICS AT THE SEASHORE
World was magic in your eyes
Raindrops gently falling
Watching out for coloured bow
While splashing in puddles
Before moms could tell you no
I know I can't return
To that time, it never was
Years pass, memories change
Whitewashing is what time does
